ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO

Last summer, I visited the newly opened Escon Field HOKKAIDO.

Wonderful !!!

What first surprised me after entering Escon Field HOKKAIDO was how incredibly bright it is, despite it being an indoor stadium (should we call it a dome based on its shape?).
The reason is the glass panels on the back screen side that allow sunlight to pour into Escon Field HOKKAIDO, necessary for maintaining the natural grass.
Because of this, the electronic scoreboards usually located in center field are placed on both the left and right field sides.
It’s simply incredible how open it feels with the retractable roof closed.
If the retractable roof were opened, it probably wouldn’t just feel like opening the roof of an indoor stadium. Wouldn’t it feel exactly like watching a game at an outdoor stadium, like Yokohama Stadium or Jingu Stadium ?

I arrived at Escon Field HOKKAIDO about an hour before the game started.
That’s because I wanted to take my time exploring inside Escon Field HOKKAIDO.

One hour is definitely not enough time.

With just one hour, you won’t have any time to leisurely enjoy the ballpark food.
If you can easily get to Escon Field HOKKAIDO, that’s fine, but if you’re traveling from a distance that feels like sightseeing, I think it’s better to plan your trip around the game, including before and after.

Inside Escon Field HOKKAIDO is full of attractions.

Surprisingly, Gan-chan(Tsutomu Iwamoto) was providing commentary for the match in the open area,
Of course, a crowd had gathered around his booth too, and waving to the fans was just so Gan-chan.

Shohei Ohtani’s performance with the Los Angeles Dodgers has made Major League Baseball feel more accessible, hasn’t it ?
This depicts Yu Darvish and Shohei Ohtani, former Nippon Ham Fighters players who became Major League superstars.
Simply incredible – these two superstars were once teammates on the same team.

What moved me the most personally was this image depicting the Okoso Owner.
The Okoso Owner stands alongside children wearing the uniforms from his ownership period.
I believe this image captures the essence of the Okoso, who loved baseball, loved the team, and cherished the players like his own children.

I will absolutely go back.
