Right Diet management requires an opposition party that threaten the position of administration.

Legislators of the Diet and local governments are elected by democratic Elections in Japan.

In addition, the Liberal Democratic Party(hereinafter called LDP) of Japan has been the governing political party for a long time.
Some anti-LDP supporters complain that whenever the LDP of Japan becomes the governing party in an election, it is not a real democracy, it is in effect a dictatorship, and so on. Of course, there is freedom of speech, so it doesn’t matter what people say.

Again, this result is being elected in a democratic election.
Of course, many members of the opposition parties have also been elected.

In fact, the Democratic Party of Japan (hereinafter called DPJ) became the governing party in an election in 2009. So, the LDP of Japan became the opposition party.
Dissatisfied with Aso Cabinet (LDP of Japan ), many people believed in the DPJ dream manifesto and voted for DPJ members.
Some people still say, the opposition’s job is ‘to oppose, not to offer alternatives,’ they did not have the experience of management of the administration, and their manifesto which relied on dream buried gold turned out to be a piece of paper. And they suffered a humiliating setback in the next lower house election.
This experience during the DPJ’s administration has made the focus of the elections a comparison with the opposition parties which cannot entrust with management of the administration, even if they are dissatisfied with the LDP, which has been the party in administration for a long period of time.
However, as of 2021, the leading opposition party is the Constitutional Democratic Party(hereinafter called CDP) of Japan. As one might guess from the name, this is the party to which many the Democratic Party of Japan (hereinafter called DPJ) ex-members.

With the development of the Internet, whether good or bad we can obtain a lot of information.
We often see comments about the Constitutional Democratic Party(hereinafter called CDP) of Japan, the leading opposition party, that it is all criticism and offers no alternatives. In fact, the CDP of Japan has also submitted bills, but the fact that some members of the CDP of Japan are constantly criticizing the governing political party on Twitter seems to bring to this image.

In our opinion, such an image will not affect the outcome of the election.

We believe that the key to national politics should be based on national defense/security and the economy.

Japan is surrounded by nuclear-armed nations, China continues to provoke the Senkaku Islands, South Korea has taken over Takeshima and is implementing anti-Japanese policies, and Russia has invaded Ukraine. In these situation, it is not national politics if the deep discussion on national defense/security is being avoided.
In fact, a major focus has been the discussion on constitutional reform and the position of the Self-Defense Forces(hereinafter called SDF).

We show where each political party and neighboring countries stand on the “discussion on Japan’s constitutional reform and the position of SDF”:

The table gives a very clear picture of each political party and countries thinking.
What we are disconcerting is that “some Japanese political parties” and “countries that repeat implement an anti-Japanese policies and actions” have the same doctrine about Japan’s national defense/security.

Those from opposing political parties and neighboring countries say that discussing national defense/security which protects the lives of Japanese citizens, is a far-right idea. Furthermore, they argue that they are attacked because we will have bases, and that we are bad because we create a reason for being attacked.
The opposing party’s statements seem to agree a military attack on Japan simply because it has bases.

Recent news reports show that voters in favor of constitutional reform have outnumbered those against it.
Furthermore, the breakdown reports that the younger generation has more in favor of the reform.

In other words, the results of the House of Representatives and House of Councillors elections were inevitable.
Rather, we should understand that today’s younger generation is more serious about national defense and security than the older generation.
Some of the opposition parties say that our policies and ideas were not able to be understood. But we think that it was the results of understanding of their policies and ideas.

Everyone has their own way of thinking, but there are advantages and disadvantages to one political party continuing to be the governing political party.
What we are looking forward to the emergence of an opposition party that positions national defense, security, and the economy as the center rather than the right-wing or left-wing, and is capable of solid policy discussion.
Of course, different political parties have different policies.
However, if a party completely refuses to discuss the constitutional reform and the Self-Defense Forces which are the biggest focal points of important national defense and security issues, it cannot be said to be a party capable of management of the administration.

Rather than having a single party in administration for a long term, having a coalition administration with another party would be a monitoring function for the governing party. However, we believe that the constant possibility of a change in the governing party is strong monitoring function of the governing party.
Even if the governing party does not change as a result, the existence of opposition parties that threaten the governing party will be a strong monitoring function for the governing party that has in power for a long time.
