Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Shinjiro Koizumi and his supporting lawmakers agree with stealth marketing strategies, right ?
The Liberal Democratic Party(hereinafter called LDP) of Japan presidential election has begun.
The coverage stance of the old media remains unchanged. It has once again become clear that the old media is not neutral or fair.
In this situation, a strongly accusatory article was distributed from Bunshun regarding Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Shinjiro Koizumi (hereafter: Agriculture Minister Koizumi), a leading presidential election candidate also supported by the old media.
Former Minister of Digital Affairs Karen Makishima of Shinjiro Koizumi’s campaign team requested posts praising candidate Shinjiro Koizumi on internet streaming videos. This behavior is considered a stealth marketing strategy and has become a significant problem in recent years.
However, this behavior involved not only requesting posts praising candidate Shinjiro Koizumi, but also requesting posts disparaging the opposing candidate.
The Shinjiro Koizumi campaign team likely considered a strategy to quickly gain public favor from this unfavorable situation.
Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi immediately held a press conference and cleanly accepted the facts.
During the press conference, Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi stated, “I was unaware of such a request. However, I take full responsibility for everything my campaign team did,” and apologized with the following words.
『Some of the examples provided (to disparage the opposing candidate) contained extremely dirty language. I apologize.』
What ?
Apologizing for dirty wording ?
But stealth marketing is fine ?
What do the self-identified conservative centrists within the LDP who lean left and support Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi in this presidential election think about the stealth marketing issue ?
If they don’t take any action on this issue, they will likely be suspected of engaging in stealth marketing themselves. They will probably be suspected of it in the next election too.
As we thought, most of the current LDP members likely want to purge the conservatives and shift the party toward becoming a left-wing party.
In the first place, they’re proving themselves to be proper left-wingers by calling their opposing candidates ‘business pseudo-conservatives’.
If they truly believe themselves to be conservative centrists, they will never regain momentum. One reason for their crushing defeat in this House of Councillors election is that conservative supporters have abandoned them.
If the LDP president supported by these members becomes president, they might well restart the East Asian Community initiative that excluded the United States, previously proposed by the former Democratic Party of Japan. In fact, these are members who have already stated they would significantly ease visa requirements for Chinese nationals.
In addition, the LDP has clearly stated to the general public that “the LDP headquarters will take legal action, including requesting disclosure of personal information, against accounts that impersonate others on social media or repeatedly spread false/misinformation and slander.”
While explicitly declaring that they will strictly control the speech of the people, their stance that they themselves are the exception is entirely the ideology of leftist dictatorship.
The LDP’s only hope is that it is the most diverse party.
It also has many true conservative members.
If someone supported by those members becomes LDP president, the situation might change significantly. (If there is no obstruction from within the party…)
At that time, please address the issue of medical expenses for foreigners in addition to the policies currently being presented.
This is a major issue that has remained unresolved for a long time.
In 2003, the medical expense burden for company employees increased from 10% to 30%. Many company employees believe that Japanese citizens are covering this loss in medical expenses.
